Course Profile
A specialized five-day, extensive and comprehensive Use of Force Instructor Certification Course. Participants will be fully capable and certified to properly instruct/train/certify their own agency personnel in police and adult corrections safe and practical control techniques and credible use of force practices as permitted within the law.
Course Topics Include:
- Use of force parameters and associated Federal Laws.
- Use of Force Training Model and documentation best practices.
- Confrontational Avoidance Techniques.
- MPOETC Approved DT Certification (Control and Restraint Techniques.
- Expandable Police Baton.
- Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Weapons.
- Edged Weapons and Spontaneous Defense.
- Royal Arms FBG-Mk4 Impacted Initiated Flashbang Certification
- 12 gauge 37/40mm Less-Lethal Munitions.
- Emergency Response Belt.
- Hands-on exercises and scenarios will be conducted in all phases of the training.
- Written and practical examinations.

Includes respective instructor manuals, training PowerPoints on USB drives, ERB, OC live & inert units and instructor certification. [Attendees must bring 4-12 GA 37/40mm less lethal rounds to the course]
