This program is one of the most recognized and court defendable use of force certifications in the United States. This up-dated and highly acclaimed program has been developed within federal lawful parameters of use of force by police and corrections officers. Escalation & de-escalation of force is based on the Federal court defended “Ladder of Force Continuum” which has continually protected departments from costly liability and worker compensation issues resulting from inadequate training. Topics Covered in this Program Include:
• DAY 1-2 Confrontational Avoidance Instructor; understanding the four types of anger, key verbal de-escalation techniques, pre-assault indicators, Control & Restraint Techniques – Instructor Certification understanding body mechanics, joint locations, body engine theory, dynamics of control & restraint; Hands-on easy-to-learn & retain control & restrain tech’s for suspect/detainee handling; use of various types of restraints for movement/transport of prisoners, EDP’s, juveniles, elderly persons and persons sprayed with OC or use of the Taser.
• DAY 3 AM; OC Instructor Certification, this non-manufacturer specific training addresses all spray patterns, formulations, manufacturers products, includes latest spray units available including 30-foot range, riot canisters & grenades. Latest up-to-date decontamination methods, decon-product availability, medical aspects, and national OC issues with training considerations. Considered the leading OC course in the United States.
• DAY 3 PM: – “Complete” Expandable Police Baton – Instructor Certification, covering any manufacturers expandable baton. This court proven program addresses lawful and judicious use & applications of the expandable baton. Realistic striking techniques in the closed & expanded position, blocking techniques and use of force parameters are extensively covered. {IEW covered}
• DAY 4 – Less Lethal Weapons Specialist – Instructor Certification, covering flexible bean bags & non-flexible rubber rounds, flash-bang rounds for the 12GA & 37/40mm.
Regarded as the most-up-to-date program in the nation today. Includes New Bruzer 2-shot 12 GA less lethal pistol demo.
• DAY 5 – Edged Weapons Awareness & Spontaneous Response Instructor, the most realistic and proven training system in the world today in situations where you cannot get to your weapon. Developed in England, this system has been documented to have saved more than 1600 officers lives to date. Do not miss this life saving, survival training
