Course Description:
A specialized two-day, comprehensive High-Risk Transport Instructor Certification Course. Participants will learn how to instruct, train, and certify their own agency personnel in high-risk transport techniques to include route and facility threat assessments, vehicle preparation/maintenance and use of the Emergency Response Belt Transport System.
Course Topics Include:
- High Risk Inmate Movement and Planning.
- Pre-movement preparation, application of restraint’s, movement priorities.
- Vehicle preparation checks and safety protocols.
- Emergency Response Belt control and restraint movements.
- Handling violent high-risk inmates, safe takedowns in restraints, attempted escapes and response to weapons assaults from family members, gangs during transport to court /hospital facilities.
- Practical Tactical Demonstration and scenario-based exploration.
- Correctional facility and environmental planning and logistics and related threat assessment
